This is Honda’s RC166 MotoGP bike from the 60’s. Revving to 20k RPMs to make 65 and sounding beastly. Not bad for something that has 250cc’s.

Code 6
Not too long ago, Grey Poupon decides to drop a diagnostic light bomb. Even though the car is operationally sound, the check engine light stares me down taunting me. It must know that smog season is coming up and wishes to antagonize me. Utilizing the special service tool, aka paper clip, to pull the code from the ECU, the blinking lights inform me that I have an ignition signal issue. Grey never had issues like this before, usually it’s cars that come by the cave that have this issue. It usually ends up with me replacing harnesses and/or distributors. But just when I was going to replace the distributor with a spare in the back, I find out the definitive cause of code 6. Fortunately, didn’t have to replace anything just soldered everything back together and now everything is good.

Not surprised.
In the process of getting the cage installed. I took upon myself to remove the windshield. Since it was already cracked I didn’t have to be extra careful during it’s removal. But all that didn’t matter since whoever installed did a pretty shoddy job. The end result was a tremendous amount of rust that accumulated in the windshield channel. But I'm not surprised with all other shoddy work the previous owner(s) had performed on the car.

Before it was know as the 86, the RWD Toyota Corolla was sold in 1986. What kind of music was being pumped out of their Toyota Premium Stereo?

Welcome daylight savings
Wish they just leave it like this all year round. It’s just nice to have more daylight to get more stuff done after work, instead running a crap load of lights. Thanks to overexposure for making the garage lights looking a lot brighter than actual.

Sitting in the back
Graystone had a few different suspensions over the years, but has been using the stock setup for the past few years. Since i still had a couple of inserts when the corolla was doing double duty on the track and the street, sitting in the back shelf collecting dust. I thought may as well put it to good use.

Need more lines
Out here in the west, there’s not much use for the defroster but it’s always nice to have. As cars age, some of the lines on the defroster end up not working either due to deterioration, or from damage. So you end up with a rear window that look more like horizontal racing stripe which is barely enough to see through. But let’s get that corrected.

Back to basics
When building the Leviathan, I never considered transplanting Barney’s power plant (turbo 4AGE) over,at least not at the moment. Going to the track days always felt like I was never driving it to it’s full limit, and there wasn’t anyone I can compare with driving skills wise. And what I enjoyed about the lowly under powered 4AGE, was I can push the chassis more than the engine. Which is why I decided to run of the mill I had laying out back. Unfortunately, the first time out ended abruptly, about 100 yards. But nothing that can’t be easily fixed. Hopefully, next time I take out Levi, I’ll find out if learned anything.
