Clean example

Nothing more awesome than an all motor rotary.  Especially on an RX-3.  Shod with some nice watanabe wheels.

2-3/4

The movie Ran requires 2-3/4 hours.  Time well spent.

Turkey bowl

I recently signed up for the AE86 Grip day at streets of willow, which is happening Thanksgiving weekend.  The car isn't completed just yet.  So this will be an added incentive to get the force purple rain finished.
But I do have a back up plan just in case things don't go my way.
Here's a couple old scanned photos, as in almost 10 year old photos some past event.  When it was fun to own a corolla.  Do you remember some of these cars?

30K???

According to my sister that's how many miles since the timing belt was changed.  Makes me wonder if the bastards actually changed the belt.  At first was thinking the motor was done for.  Since Honda motors are interference fit engines.  Looked it over to see any signs of damage and threw another belt.  In few minutes it was up and running with no signs of damage.  I guess the D15 motors are exempt from the interference rumors.

Circuit Tester

At the time, this was one of my favorite pieces of equipment.  I actually constructed this circuit tester in the 90's, probably cost me $10 in materials.  What made this unique was that it will distinguish a + or - circuit.  When most test lights will just turn on the built in bulb.  As far as I can remember I don't think there was anything equivalent.  Now a days the power probe has taken over all electrical duties and this sits in the tool box.

In 1985

This movie Back to the Future came out.  Featuring the Delorean DMC-12.  With it's wedge shaped and sharp angular features, it reminds me of my Toyota Corolla GT-S hatchback.

No fire... yet...

Falling a bit behind.  I was hoping to at least get it running by now.  But misplacing a couple of parts and rewiring taking up more time than expected.  Maybe next weekend.

Brap Brap

The project that's been sitting for too long.  I know it needs to get going and no matter how long I let it sit, it won't reassemble itself.  Though I'm thinking I need to add another rotor.

Praise??

I watched this commercial praising Mercedes Benz and it's brake system.  But I seem to see it the other way.  It just looks like a breeding ground for more stupid drivers to stay on the road.  If you're sleepy, then get off the damn road.

10th Annual Macross World Convention

If you're you like Macross, then i'm sure you already know about this event.  It was the first I had been here so I didn't really know what to expect.  Though I did know the singer/ songwriter Mari Iijima was going to performing.  So I had to check it out.

If you don't know Mari, she was the voice/singer of Lynn Minmay from the original Macross.  So you know she's legit.  Picture sucks cause no flash allowed and the point and shoot was on max.  Should have brought big brother.

There were a ton a display from different series of Macross from the original to the latest series, Macross Frontier.

Oh before I forget, happy birthday Lynn Minmay

Here's the rest of the photos of the event.

Being very quiet

Get in my belly ya bastard
So I don't wake the neighbors during a night raid.

Almost there, need to start hooking everything up.  That'll be next weekend.
