Special K

Katayama Mazda RX 3 a car that brought down the Skyline GTR in the early Japanese Touring Car days.  And also influenced the bosozoku car treatment.  Would you believe this was put together in thailand, i wouldn't have guessed it.  Well done.

Godzilla taken down

It wasn't a Porsche nor a car from barely above water Chevrolet Z06 that took down the mighty GTR. But maybe we're hoping for an Initial D fantasy and the legendary AE86 did what was only done in anime. Well get that out of your head, a plain jane Mitsubishi Evolution battled the baddest Nissan ever made, like a modern day David and Goliath, and took home some bragging rights. From what I hear the driver, 20 year old, piloted the beast. The level of driving skill is unknown, but it goes to show that without skill even the most technologically advanced vehicle is just plain useless. But at least he done it in battle and not crashing into a pole trying to show off to the bitches and bro's. But let's get smart and keep it on track.

To all those who own a R35 Nissan GTR or thought of purchasing was soon, make sure you read your owners manual and take responsibility for your actions. Please don't be like this guy.

Get the JDM

With the up coming JCCS in October, what better way to show up in a real deal car from the mother land itself Japan. Ebay has 2 rare classics on their site.

Early model Skyline also known as Hakosuka. It's not a GTR but a replica. It's equipped with a L series engine that has been bored and stroked to 3.1L. Sporting the classic Watanabe wheels it sits very well. I wouldn't change a thing. Well maybe the motor.

This same seller also has an early Toyota Celica 2000 GT lift back. These cars had some resemblence to the early Ford Mustangs. Equipped with the venerable 18 RG. If the engine ever breaks down then just ask the old filipino neighbor he probably has parts the garage.

Invasion of GTR

Looks like all the Nissan dealers are beginning delivery on the GTR. I just got this email a few days ago from a Nissan dealer announcing the arrival of their first GTR. Though the price was removed, last I saw it was up at ~150k. Ouch, but i guess there's not enough supply but big demand the stealers dealers will certainly accommodate. If you're in O.C. visit this dealership for an up close look of godzilla here.
