Finally watched SyFyoriginalCaprica. Yes I am a big science fiction fan. So far the pilot episode looks good. If it's like Battlestar Galactica (the 2nd one, not the original one) I think will do good.
Came across this a while back browsing the net, and since I just posted about TE37's on bee dubs. Thought I should share this too. Volkswagen with 4AG, wish I thought of it. It's fuel injected so at least we know a filipino doesn't own it, cause you know it'll be sporting the twin side draft carburetors.
American classics don't swing by the shop very often, like this early 60's Chevrolet Corvette. Usually these type of owners are very meticulous and prefer to take to a shop that specializes in their particular vehicle. Since this shop usually caters to old Toyotas, this was quite a surprise. But definitely a treat, since I never seen one up close and personal. A clean car, with a coolness factor that is second to none. Even people just walking by would stop and just admire the car.
For the anime lovers, some of you may remember Space Battleship Yamato, or for you english speakers by it's English dubbed title Star Blazers. Like many things from the Gen X and Y childhood, it's been resurrected into a movie. Just like transformers it will be a live action movie. Unfortunately, you'll need to wait until December to watch. This will give us time to freshen up our Nihongo and save some money to go to Japan. Hmm, that's going to one expensive movie ticket. Since this is only a Japan only showing.
They do have a website up showing a count down of the until showing, not much else.
I'm clueless on what this guy is doing to his Corolla. A long pipe supported with a brick. The other looks like it's plugged with a shovel handle. What's going on here. Is it a new fad for the JDM fanatics? Though I did notice that he loves the USDM. Check out the GT-S decal on below the left tail light. So awesome.
Heating issues were never much of a problem with me. From mild 4A's to hotter 7A's it's rare to have heating issues. Even the current turbo setup I rarely had any heating issues. Which is a good thing since I'm not one to spend for a the high pressureTRDradiator cap. Here's a cheaper alternative. It's a 16lb/ 1.1 bar cap from Stant that works on corolla radiator. For comparison, the stock cap comes in at a measly 13lb/ .9 bar to you foreigners, and the TRD is rated at 18 psi/ 1.3 bar.
Keep in mind before you start adding high pressure caps, make sure that the rest of the system is up to par in holding down the pressure. Let's keep radiator and or hose pressure failures due to the extra pressure to a minimum.
With the coming of the new year, it's time for maintenance of all vehicles in the stable. Usually I need to spend about 2 weekends completing this task. Really sucks owning a bunch of cars. But Happy New Year everyone.
The whole weekend wasn't full of work. I did go to the Red Bull thing where Travis jumped his Subaru. It was hella crowded.
