Monsoon projects
During these rare monsoon seasons weekends in california. All work on the 4 wheeled beasts are put on hold. But at least it gives me a chance to try out some small projects. Especially since I have lots of spare metal and an itty bitty welder to have a little fun with.

Singer Porsche
A wolf in sheeps clothing? Perhaps, but if you like the Rauh Welt Porsches, I think you'll thoroughly enjoy the re imagined Porsche built by Singer. And no it's not powered by a sewing machine.

Mega whaa..
For quite sometime, i've been thinking about using a megasquirt standalone computer. Most elitist would probably turn their noses, preferring to stick with names like ___tec or ___tech but I've tinkered with a quite few standalones. Compared the best and worst of each of them. But I'm a simple person with simple needs. So the megasquirt fits the quite nicely. Being that the price was good and it has great flexibility in options, I thought I should give it a try.

AE86 Tech #86-29: Keep dirt out
Those who are either too cheap, or just plain starving students, but still want to add extra camber without paying for a longer control arm. Adding negative roll center adjusters, NRCA for short, is as cheap as you can be. Being a suspension component that is subjected to all kinds of environments, i've noticed on some customer's cars, that removing the bolt can, at times, be difficult. But in some rare cases the blocks threads tend to strip. I suspect it's all the water and dirt that tend to accumulate in the are shown above.
To combat this, I just add a bit of tape over the holes to seal. Simple yet effective, though probably some better is more appropriate but I was too cheap at the time to buy it.

How do you maintain?
One thing that the end of the year means, is the maintenance on all the
cars. Since maintaining a bunch of cars is a bit of choir, especially when it
comes to keeping track of mileage. What I prefer to do is split the maintenance in trimesters.
Regardless of mileage, the oil is changed every 4 months. Other things i'll do on a bi-yearly and yearly basis. This way I can easily keep track of the needed requirements of all the vehicles. I also hate keeping maintenance log books. Besides it getting all dirty and tore up. I'm just lazy at taking down notes.
